Glockfather — 1.0.0: new recordings, correct pitch, rebuilt keyboard
All seven glockenspiels were recorded again, and the keyboard was rebuilt around what each one can actually play.
- New recordings for every preset, at both ends of the Sauce knob
- The second glockenspiel has recordings of its own for the first time and now plays
- Every preset plays at its real pitch. Notes used to land on the wrong keys
- The keyboard redraws for the preset you select and shows exactly its range, from 12 bars on the smallest glockenspiel to 34 on the largest
- Notes a preset does not have are greyed out and stay silent when clicked, so an empty key is no longer a surprise
- New key design, with the note and octave written on every C so you can tell the octaves apart
- Unavailable keys are easier to read: a white key without a sound no longer looks like a black key with one
- The letter keys on your computer keyboard follow the preset you are on, starting at its lowest note, so none of them is silent. On the largest glockenspiel,
<and>page through the notes that do not fit - Typing in the serial key field no longer plays notes
- The frequency display in the middle moves only when a note actually sounds, not on every incoming MIDI note
- With SYNC on, the note value beside it lights up as well, and it dims when SYNC is off
- The download is bigger than before, around 730 MB, because the new recordings ship uncompressed
