Exporting a recording
Get a recording out of Amber as a WAV or AIFF file, via AirDrop, Files, or anywhere else your phone can share to.

When an idea is ready to move into a proper session on your computer, open its detail screen and tap Export.
What you get
- A choice of WAV or AIFF, converted from Amber's internal recording format.
- A filename that includes the recording's detected (or corrected) BPM and key, so the metadata travels with the file instead of staying trapped in the app — useful the moment a file lands in a DAW project folder next to a hundred others.
- The system share sheet, so you can send the file via AirDrop, save it to the Files app, or hand it to any other app or service your phone already shares to.
What happens to the recording afterward
Once you export a recording, Amber marks it as used in your library — a quick visual way to tell, later, which ideas you've already pulled into a real project versus which are still just sitting in the archive.
