Fixing a wrong tag
Automatic detection is a best guess — here's how to correct it, and why your correction is never lost.
Automatic tempo, key, instrument, and title detection is a best guess based on the audio — it won't always be right, especially on unusual takes (heavily processed sound, multiple instruments layered together, very quiet recordings).
Correcting a tag
Open the recording's detail screen and tap the tag you want to change (tempo, key, instrument, or title). Enter the correct value and it's saved immediately.
Your correction is permanent
This is the important part: once you've corrected a tag, Amber will never silently overwrite it. Automatic detection and your own corrections are kept as two separate pieces of information internally — so if a future version of Amber ships an improved detector and re-analyzes your whole library, anything you've manually fixed stays exactly as you left it. Re-analysis only ever fills in gaps it hasn't touched, never your own edits.
