Searching and filtering your library
Cut hundreds of recordings down to the handful that matter using BPM, key, instrument, or transcript search.
Once you've got dozens or hundreds of recordings, browsing one by one stops working. Amber is built around actually finding a specific idea again.
Full-text transcript search
Type anything into the search bar and Amber searches across every transcript in your library — not just titles. If you ever said "idea for the bridge, slower" out loud while recording, searching bridge finds that exact take, even though you never typed a word yourself.
Filtering by BPM, key, or instrument
Tap the filter icon to open the filter sheet and narrow your library down by:
- BPM range — e.g. 90–110
- Key — a specific musical key
- Instrument — guitar, piano, voice, drums, etc.
Filters combine, so "90–110 BPM, minor key, guitar" turns a pile of 400 recordings into a handful worth actually listening to. The filter sheet opens as a bottom sheet you can dismiss with one hand — it's meant to be used constantly, not a buried settings screen.
Browsing by date
