Installing Glockfather

System requirements, supported DAWs, and how to install the VST3/AU plugin.

System requirements

  • macOS, Apple Silicon or Intel (a universal binary — one installer covers both)
  • VST3 and AU plugin formats
  • Tested in Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and FL Studio

Installing

  1. Open the downloaded DMG and run the installer package inside it.
  2. Choose VST3, AU, or both when prompted — you can install either or both formats.
  3. The installer places the plugin in the shared system plugin folders your DAW already scans (/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 and /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components for AU), so no manual folder copying is needed.
  4. Open your DAW and rescan/reload plugins if it doesn't pick Glockfather up automatically. Look for it listed as The Glockfather under Instruments.

First launch

The first time you open Glockfather on an instrument track, it shows an activation screen before it will make sound — see Activating your serial key in this section.
